Shenton Names Academy Squad For Bulls Clash

The Hull FC Academy side to face Bradford’s youngsters

Centre of Excellence News

Michael Shenton has named a 19-man Hull FC Academy squad to face Bradford Bulls Under 18s at the University of Hull tomorrow afternoon (1.00pm kick-off).

The Black & Whites have the only unbeaten Academy in the country so far in 2022, but they will be wary of a Bradford side that ended Leeds Rhinos’ winning start to the year in the last round of fixtures.

Six of the players included in this week’s Academy squad were also a part of the Hull FC Reserves side that ran a strong Wakefield Trinity outfit close at the Be Well Support Stadium last week.

Shenton welcomes Charlie Severs back to the 19-man squad this week, having missed over two months of action with a fractured jaw.

Mason Opie-Palmer is also back in contention to feature for the first time since the Academy Derby on Good Friday.

Sam Dulson, Alfie Oldridge and Sam Richards also return to the 19-man squad this week.

Lennon Bursell is unavailable to face the Bulls tomorrow as he serves a one-match suspension.

Finley Yeaman, who scored a hat-trick in the last outing for the Black & Whites’ Academy, is unavailable too, alongside Sully Medforth and Callum Shaw.
