Hull FC and Doncaster RLFC Announce Pathway Partnership

Hull FC and Doncaster RLFC are delighted to announce a pathway partnership between the two clubs.

Hull FC and Doncaster RLFC are delighted to announce a pathway partnership between the two clubs.

The clubs have linked up their junior pathways to provide new and unique development opportunities for participants aged between 12 and 18 years old.

Participants from both the Black & Whites and the Dons will come together to continue their development and be challenges in new learning environments.

Both clubs will also form a joint coach educations programme for community coaches across both cities.

Doncaster will host two joint development sessions this year at the Eco-Power Stadium for U15s and U16s players, while coaching staff will also come together to deliver sessions focused on developing core skills.

Hull FC Player Performance Manager, Richard Tate said: “It’s great that between both clubs, we can offer extended development and playing opportunities for more junior players across East & South Yorkshire. 

“We are really looking forward to working with Josh Riding and the team at Doncaster and helping to reignite the relationship between the Dons and Hull FC, through both clubs’ shared passion of growing the game and junior development.”

Hull FC’s Head of Academy, Pete Riding, said: “This is a fantastic initiative and an opportunity for players within the Doncaster region to access coaching and playing opportunities at all levels within the game. 

“Doncaster are a club that are certainly on the up and have a desire to create their own player pathway. This partnership allows both organisations to share resource and best practice to which will only benefit all players on both pathways”

Doncaster’s Head of Development, Josh Riding, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for our club and our junior players to continue growing and developing as both players and young men. 

“The chance for our Future Dons to learn from the coaches at Hull FC and train/play alongside the outstanding talent Hull produce, is only going to enhance their individual game and the community game in Doncaster.”

Dons Chief Executive, Carl Hall said: “Hull FC have a fantastic history of developing young talent and we are really excited about becoming partners. The next step for us as a Championship club is to build youth systems and pathways and this partnership will go a long way in achieving that.
