Michael Shenton has named an 18-man Hull FC Academy squad to face Castleford Tigers Under 18s at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle tomorrow afternoon (2.30pm kick-off).
The Black & Whites’ youngsters will be the only remaining unbeaten side in the Academy Championship if they can secure the two competition points in West Yorkshire tomorrow.
It’s their first game in almost a fortnight, having beaten Huddersfield Under 18s 48-16 last time out.
There are two changes to the side that defeated the Giants two weeks ago, with Sam Richards and Charlie Stipetic making way.
The duo are replaced by Mackenzie Harman and Nick Staveley, with the former set to feature in his first match since March following a foot injury.
The five Hull FC representatives in the Yorkshire Academy squad that took on Lancashire last weekend; Denive Balmforth, Matty Laidlaw, Lewis Martin, Sully Medforth and Manoa Wacokecoke, are also set to return to action for the Black & Whites.
Winger Martin, who has been in blistering form in 2022, scored a hat-trick in that Academy Origin match at the DCBL Stadium last weekend.
The full 18-man squad to face Castleford’s youngsters is as follows:
Kye Armstrong
Denive Balmforth
