The full first-team squad will travel to Loughborough, plus several the club’s Rising Stars who made impressive contributions in Sunday’s friendly clash against Bradford.

Hull FC head coach Brett Hodgson is relishing the opportunity to get his team together at some of the country’s best facilities.

He said: “We’re heading down to Loughborough University for a bit of a change of scenery towards the back end of our pre-season campaign, which is a great opportunity for us to bring the team together and benefit from a world-class setup they have there.

“The boys have been excellent throughout pre-season so far and we’re hoping they can apply themselves for a busy schedule in Loughborough, which should be challenging and enjoyable in equal measure, with plenty planned on and off the field.

“We’ll finish the camp with a scrimmage with London Broncos where we can have a look at a couple of things and have a strong opposed hit out with another Championship outfit.

He added, “ I’d like to thank the club for their support in organising this opportunity for the players as we build towards our final pre-season game against Leeds and the start of the new season.”

Loughborough’s reputation for sporting excellence spans performance, facilities, expertise and professional partnerships.

The centre hosts several high-performance athletes and teams, including fellow Jacuzzi® sports ambassador Adam Peaty, the England & Wales Cricket Board and a number of national and Olympic sports teams.

The Great Britain Rugby 7s squad is also based on the campus, which was also recently used by several top-flight football teams for their pre-season preparations, including Leeds United.

Hull FC’s players will benefit from such links, with a number of activities planned around the facilities across the four days, including a sparring session led by Angel Fernandes, the coach of champion boxer Anthony Joshua, and an exercise with the British Wheelchair Basketball team, amongst others.
