As Members Monday returns, we caught up with Connah Oliver, who was involved in the photoshoot for the launch of this year’s Magic Weekend kit!
The Black & Whites wore the members-inspired jersey in Saturday’s Magic Weekend clash with Leeds Rhinos, featuring the names of the club’s Loyal & Proud members.
Connah was one of a lucky group of members invited to take part in the photoshoot for the jersey earlier in the summer.
How did it feel to be invited to the members photoshoot for this year’s Magic Weekend kit?
I loved being able to be involved with the launch of the Magic Weekend kit.
To be one of the first people to see the kit was a real privilege.
How did you find the experience at the Dacia Magic Weekend?
I only went for the Saturday – it was a great day out, especially seeing people from different fan bases having a laugh in fancy dress.
The Hull fans were all there in big numbers, as they always are. Despite the result, it was a quality game of rugby.
How long have you been a member with the Black & Whites?
I’ve been a member for 18 years. I got my first pass in 2003 when we first moved to the new stadium.
What is your favourite memory from supporting the club?
One of my favourite and earliest of memories was winning the Challenge Cup in 2005 against Leeds in Cardiff.
When Cookie went over for the try I was all over the TV celebrating with my family!
But being able to see FC win the cup at Wembley once, let alone back to back, was incredible.
