Hull FC head coach Brett Hodgson has named his match day squad for this afternoon’s Betfred Super League round one opener against Huddersfield Giants, brought to you in association with Jadan Press.

The Black & Whites take on the West Yorkshire side at Emerald Headingley Stadium in their first competitive game of the year, with Hodgson hoping to claim victory in his first game in charge.

Hodgson hands a competitive debut to new recruit Josh Reynolds who starts the game in the halves alongside Marc Sneyd.

Mahe Fonua and Adam Swift are the preferred wing options in a strong looking set of backs, with Jake Connor taking to the field in the number one jersey for the first time, and Josh Griffin set to make his 100th appearance for the Airlie Birds.

Co-captain Scott Taylor is named on the bench, alongside young centre Cameron Scott who has been rewarded for an impressive pre-season campaign
