Remembrance Sunday Wreath To Be Laid In Private Service

Hull FC can confirm that this year’s Remembrance Sunday service will take place in private due to the national lockdown.

Club News

Hull FC can confirm that this year’s Remembrance Sunday service will take place in private due to the national lockdown.

A year has passed since we last gathered to remember the many members of the FC family, fans, players and officials who have given their life for their country during the history of the club.

Sadly, this years Remembrance Sunday service at the KCOM Stadium has been impacted by Covid-19 restrictions, meaning that our official supporters group FC Voices will now only be able to lay a wreath at 11am in place of the usual service.

The wreath laying at the Jack Harrision VC MC memorial outside the stadium will be followed by a respectful silence.

Club Chaplain, Reverend Tony Cotson, will be in attendance along with FC Voices Chair, Lisa Jewitt, on behalf of the fans of the club.

They will pay their respects at an appropriate distance whilst honouring the players and fans that have been lost by laying the wreath to remember them.

Meanwhile, the club can also confirm that due to current restrictions, our usual supporter memorial service will be unable to take place this year.

However, the club will still recognise and remember their loyal supporters and former players who have sadly passed away over the last 12 months digitally with our annual memorial video, which will be published later in the month.

Fans can send their photos and messages to membership@hullfc.com by Friday 20th November; please include the name of the supporter who is sadly no longer with us, their year of birth, a message, and a photo if you wish.
