The team news for this afternoon’s pre-season friendly against Wigan Warriors at the MKM Stadium has been confirmed, in association with Jadan Press.
The Black & Whites take on the reigning Betfred Super League champions in Scott Taylor’s Testimonial Match in their final action ahead of the start of the new season.
New recruits Fa’amanu Brown, Herman Ese’ese, Franklin Pele Jack Ashworth and Jayden Okunbor all start to make their first appearances for the club on home soil, with fellow 2024 signing Jack Walker running out at the MKM Stadium for the first time since re-joining the club.
Meanwhile, winger Lewis Martin also makes his first home appearance after making his senior debut in the final game of the 2023 season, while young half-back Jack Charles is also named on the bench ahead of a first outing at the MKM Stadium.
Liam Tindall (thumb) and Morgan Smith (knee) are both unavailable, while Carlos Tuimavave is not included having sustained a knock against Doncaster, and Ligi Sao misses out through illness – Jake Trueman and Mitieli Vulikijapani continue their recoveries from respective long-term injuries.
