Tony Smith has named an extended 25-man squad ahead of Sunday’s pre-season friendly against Doncaster RLFC at the Eco-Power Stadium, in association with Jadan Press.
After taking on Bradford with a youthful squad last weekend in FC’s first pre-season outing, Smith has named a significantly stronger side to travel to South Yorkshire this weekend, with eight of the Black & Whites new recruits for 2024 included.
Liam Tindall, Fa’amanu Brown, Herman Ese’ese, Franklin Pele, Jayden Okunbor, Jack Ashworth, and Morgan Smith are all set to make their first appearance for the club, alongside Jack Walker who is also likely to appear for the first time since returning to West Hull.
The likes of fellow senior players in Tex Hoy, Cam Scott, Carlos Tuimavave, Darnell McIntosh, Jack Brown, Ligi Sao, Brad Fash, Joe Cator and Jordan Lane are also set to feature for the first time in 2024.
Newly-appointed captain for 2024 Danny Houghton misses out with a minor hand issue, while Denive Balmforth is rested after picking up a minor shoulder knock against the Bulls.
