Hull FC and the Hull FC Community Foundation are encouraging fans of the Black & Whites to donate food at tomorrow’s Betfred Super League fixture against Wakefield Trinity.

Over 1,500 individual items of food have been donated since the club first opened their match day food banks earlier this season, and following an urgent plea from Hull City Council, the Airlie Birds will continue to offer their support to the community throughout the rest of the season

As the cost of living crisis continues to affect families locally, Hull food banks are in desperate need of donations. Every week foodbanks help hundreds of people across the city, and your generosity keeps people going.

There will be three drop-off points at the MKM Stadium on Sunday – the Hull FC club shop, the Dugout Bar, and the Family Lounge.

These food banks will be available before the game with boxes left at each of the locations for you to leave your donation.

All donations are greatly appreciated and go a long way to helping the people of Hull.

Items required include:

  • long-life milk
  • tinned and packeted goods
  • cereals, pasta and cooking sauces
  • In addition, the food bank will also accept donations of shampoo, toothpaste, soap, lip balm, deodorant, baby essentials and sanitary products.
