Richard Tate has named a 20-man Hull FC Scholarship squad to face Wigan Warriors Under 16s this evening (7.00pm kick-off), brought to you in association with Rowe Freight.
The Under 16s have won their last two matches against Newcastle Thunder and Hull KR, but they will come up against stiff opposition in the form of a Wigan side who have lost only one of their five fixtures so far in 2023.
Following that bruising Scholarship Derby a fortnight ago, Tate has been forced into a number of changes with a number of youngsters unavailable through injury.
There are as many as nine changes to the 20-man squad for the trip to face Wigan at Orrell St James this evening. Those dropping out are Josh Horne, Callum Kemp, Finley Mainprize, Mitch McIntyre, Ellis Opie, Alistair Swyer, Jon Turner, Freddie Watts and Rhys Yorke.
There will be opportunities for the likes of Callum Barley, Ellis Chapman and Spencer George to make their first appearances for the club.
Meanwhile, Leon Hayward, Sam Howe, Zak Nelson-Hewitt, Lennon Nicholson, Harvey O’Brien, Ethan Render and Finley Wilson have also been named, and are primed for action for the Black & Whites.
