Hull FC are delighted to announce that up-and-coming local band FEVER will play live ahead of the Hull Derby this week, proudly supported by Cuban Pete’s!

With less than 1,500 tickets remaining and the ground heading for a capacity crowd as anticipation builds for Rugby League’ biggest rivalry and the return of the Good Friday Derby to the MKM Stadium, the Hull based group will take the pre-match atmosphere to another level with their four track set ahead of kick-off.

Since forming in the city in late 2019, the five-piece indie group have accumulated over 500,000 streams on Spotify, and supported some of the UK’s biggest alternative artists including album chart toppers Blossoms and The Lathums – the band have just finished a string of dates supporting The Clause which saw them play iconic venues including Glasgow’s King Tut’s and The Deaf Institute in Manchester.

Having flown the flag for the city’s ever-growing music scene across the country, closer to home, Fever have played popular local venues The Welly, Polar Bear, Asylum, and the New Adelphi Club in recent years, as well as on the main stage at the city’s iconic Humber Street Sesh in 2022 – they were also the first band to play at the Bonus Arena following it’s reopening after lockdown in 2021.

With their new single ‘Long Ago’ featuring on BBC Radio One and BBC 6 Music through the BBC Music Introducing programme, further success is coming for the band in 2023 as they prepare to support a chart-topping, Brit Award winning artist with over 10 million sold records to their name!

In what will be Fever’s biggest performance to date, their set will feature a cover of an iconic Hull track which is sure to get both sets of supporters in the mood ahead of the match.

Band member Joe Gray said: “With all five of us having grown up in the city, and spent plenty of time watching matches at the MKM Stadium over the years with a couple of Black & White fans amongst us, we’re delighted to have the opportunity to perform ahead of the Good Friday Derby!

“We can’t wait to help build the atmosphere ahead of kick-off and get the fans bouncing for the biggest match in Rugby League.”

FEVER’s performance at the MKM Stadium will proudly be supported by Cuban Pete’s.

Aside from the action on the field, it’s set to be an exciting match day in and around the ground with our first West Park Fan Zone of the season, with supporters able to make most of our wide range of activities, games, inflatables, and entertainment in West Park from 10.00am.

Fans are encouraged to buy tickets as soon as possible for the highly-anticipated fixture, which is likely to be one of the biggest events the city will host this year, and one of Super League’s biggest crowds of the season as the MKM Stadium heads for a capacity crowd.

With stadium segregation and seating regulations taken into consideration, most areas of the ground are now at capacity or are single seats only – a small number of seats have been made available in the West Stand, while only limited tickets remain in the South Stand and West Upper Tier.

Tickets can be bought from club retail stores, online at ticketing.hullfc.com or by calling 01482 505 600.

Ticket prices start from £20 for adults and £5 for juniors, with a family ticket available for as little as £55.

Due to high ticket sales so far, it is anticipated that this fixture will be all-ticket with no tickets available on the day of the game, so supporters are urged to purchase their tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
