One Last Push – Opening Round Attendance Milestone In Sight For Sunday!

A major attendance milestone is in sight for the Black & Whites!

Club News

The Black & Whites will kick-off their 2023 Betfred Super League season in front of a huge crowd tomorrow afternoon, with the club closing in on a significant opening home game attendance milestone!

Should tomorrow’s attendance surpass 14,520, it’ll be the club’s biggest attendance at any opening home game since 2005, not including Hull Derby matches.

The Airlie Birds are looking to surpass the 14,520 who attended our Round Two fixture against Huddersfield in 2010 – should they do so, it’ll be the club’s biggest crowd at their first home game of the season for 18 years, with only our 2020 Round Two Hull Derby being higher.

Check out our highest opening home games attendances at the MKM Stadium below:

  • 2020 vs Hull KR – 19,599
  • 2005 vs Leeds – 17,080
  • 2010 vs Huddersfield – 14,520
  • 2003 vs Halifax – 15,310
  • 2018 vs Huddersfield – 13,704

Sunday’s attendance will already be the highest of this season’s Betfred Super League Round One matches, and one of Hull’s biggest non-derby crowds of the last decade.

With a huge crowd guaranteed, we need one last push from the Black & White Army to get us past that milestone – tell you friends, family, neighbours – everyone! Be there!

With several sections of the ground now completely sold out as anticipation for the match reaches fever pitch, including the entire East and West Stands, supporters are advised to secure their tickets as soon as possible to ensure they can sit in their preferred area of the stadium.

Limited seating remains in the South Stand and North Stand, with larger groups of supporters encouraged to buy in blocks S5 and N2.

Fans will be able to purchase their tickets in person today from our club retail stores, and from the MKM Stadium ticket office on Sunday up until kick-off.

Tickets will also remain available online up until an hour before kick-off, with supporters able to print their ticket at home or download an e-ticket with a QR code.
