Tony Smith has named a strong side for the David Topliss Memorial Trophy match at the Be Well Support Stadium as he looks to give plenty of members of his squad some minutes in Hull’s final game of pre-season.

New recruit Liam Sutcliffe comes into the side and makes his first appearance for the club, starting at centre.

Meanwhile, Kane Evans and Jack Brown have both recovered from injury and off-season surgery respectively to make their first appearance of 2023 from the bench.

New signings Tex Hoy, Jake Clifford, and Brad Dwyer all start.

Mitieli Vulikijapani misses out with an ankle knock sustained in the pre-season clash against Sheffield, while Ligi Sao is suffering with a dead leg sustained in training.

Carlos Tuimavave (Achilles), Jake Trueman (ACL) Andre Savelio (ACL), Connor Wynne (ankle), Jamie Shaul (calf), Charlie Severs (shoulder) and Kye Armstrong (shoulder) all remain sidelined and continue their recoveries from their respective injuries.
