As one of just a handful of one-club men in Hull FC’s Hall of Fame, Kirk Yeaman says he never had desires to play for any team other than his boyhood side throughout his career.

Yeaman became the 33rd inductee of Hull FC’s Hall of Fame at the club’s Season Launch Dinner at the Bonus Arena on Wednesday evening.

It was an opportunity to remember a loyal, yet successful career, which spanned 18 years.

Speaking to hullfc.com after his induction, Yeaman said: “There was never any feeling in me that suggested I was ever going to leave, and as the years went on, there was only ever one place I wanted to be.

“There were a couple of opportunities that arose throughout my career, but I never really gave it a second thought. I was always going to play for the Black & Whites.

“I love this city and I love this club, and I thought why would I want to do anything else?”

To celebrate an immense career, Yeaman was able to share the moment with many of his former team mates, family members and close friends at the Bonus Arena earlier this week.

The 39-year-old described it as special to be inducted into Hull’s elite club.

“It was great to see all of the players, as well as so many people that I’ve worked with both on and off the field down the years,” he said.

“When Fraser started reading out my statistics on stage, it was about halfway through that the penny dropped! It was a really nice moment, especially with people chanting my name in the crowd. It was special.

“I am really appreciative of the opportunity and it’s an honour for me to be a part of the group.”
