The Black & Whites travelled to Sheffield for the first time since 2015, taking on the Eagles at the Olympic Legacy Park.
It was Hull’s first visit to the stadium, which sits on the site of the Don Valley Stadium, where the Airlie Birds made their first Super League appearance in 1998.
Hull ran out 22-20 winners, coming from behind at half-time, with tries from Scott Taylor, Jake Clifford, Danny Houghton and Cameron Scott enough to get Tony Smith’s men over the line in his first game in charge.
