Continuing its commitment to help local people during the cost of living crisis, the Hull FC Community Foundation has created a new scheme to help people develop their skills to improve their opportunity of getting into work.

The free-to-attend sessions will see the Community Foundation visit several ‘hubs’ across the city, engaging, inspiring and educating people by helping them achieve nationally recognised qualifications.

The Community Foundation understands that working towards employment can be a stressful time, so free refreshments will be provided for participants to create a relaxed environment.

Skills4Success gets underway on Tuesday 1st November, with weekly hubs at St Michael’s Youth Project (10am-12pm) and Bodmin Church (1-3pm).

There will be an additional hub at the MKM Stadium Community Hub on Wednesday afternoons (1-3pm).

The Skills4Success programme will be individually tailored to meet each participant’s needs, whilst working on the following:

  • Improving IT user skills.
  • Gaining valuable work experience
  • Earning incentives and activity days
  • The opportunity to choose from over 80 nationally accredited professional online qualifications
