Hull FC have announced details for this year’s Hull&Proud Week!

Hull&Proud Week, in association with Timber Angel, will make its long-awaited return this month, featuring a wide variety of exciting club events across eight days in the build up to our Betfred Super League clash against Wigan Warriors at the MKM Stadium – our ‘BIG Day Out’ match!

After a three year break due to the pandemic, the biggest week in the Black & White calendar returns with a bumper schedule of supporter and community events for fans and families to enjoy, as well as an action-packed ‘BIG Day Out’ fixture against the Warriors.

The jam-packed schedule of events kicks off on Saturday 14th May following the Airlie Birds trip across the Pennines to face St Helens the day prior, and culminates with our game against Wigan, featuring a bumper West Park fan park with plenty of live entertainment, and our exclusive members ticket offer, ‘Friends For A Fiver’, with additional tickets available to members for just £5!

What is Hull & Proud Week?

Hull&Proud Week is an annual event that first started in 2014, celebrating the club’s position in the local community and its relationship with its passionate supporters!

Hull&Proud is the club’s motto and throughout the week fans get the chance to get up close and personal with the first-team squad, as well as be part of some special events. The week also features our ‘BIG Day Out’ clash against including ticket offers and a fan park!

What events are planned?

From some Hull&Proud Week favourites, to some fresh new events, there is something for supporters of all ages across the eight days of events.

There will be an extensive community theme, with community fixtures and school visits taking centre stage throughout the week.

Our Players Cooking Challenge heads back to Nando’s where members of the first-team squad will prepare and serve your meal.

Our annual Big Fat Quiz of the Year is back, as well as a unique video review session with first-team coaches at the University of Hull, a comedy night hosted by Tribal Humber Street, and a watchalong of the 1982 Challenge Cup Final Replay at Tribal Kingswood, 40 years to the day since the Black & Whites lifted the trophy!

‘BIG Day Out’ & Tickets Offers

Hull&Proud Week 2022 will be brought to a close with one of the Black & Whites’ biggest home games of the year, as they take on Wigan Warriors on Saturday 21st May (3.00pm).

The extra special match day will include our ‘Friend For A Fiver’ offer, with all 2022 members entitled to one additional ticket for just £5 – the perfect chance to help fill the MKM Stadium and create a bumper atmosphere as we look to continue our impressive home for this season which has seen us win our last five games on home soil!

As well as our ticket offer, supporters will be able to make the most of our West Park fan park ahead of kick-off, featuring plenty of live entertainment including live music and displays, as well as activities, stalls and much more!

Supporters and corporate guests can make our ‘BIG Day Out’ against the Warriors one to remember by enjoying our VIP Hospitality experience in the Circle Restaurant, where you will enjoy a three-course meal and live entertainment, and watch the match from the best seats in the house in the West Stand

‘Don’t Be Too Proud’, with Atropa Pharmacy

Throughout Hull&Proud Week, we will be running our ‘Don’t Be Too Proud’ campaign in association with main club partners Atropa Pharmacy.

While Hull&Proud Week is about being proud of the city you call home and being proud of who you are, we’re reminding supporters that if something doesn’t feel right with your health and wellbeing, don’t be too proud or embarrassed to do something about it.

Atropa Pharmacy offers a range of professional and confidential consultations for both men’s and women’s health screenings, including screenings for prostate cancer, bowel cancer, and more.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men, with more than 47,500 men diagnosed in the UK ever year, with men aged over 50, black men, and those with a family history of the disease at an increased risk. To find out more about prostate cancer, click here

Bowel cancer is also one of the most common cancers in the UK, with 43,000 people diagnosed with the disease every year, and again, people aged over 50 are more at risk. To find out more about bowel cancer, click here

Friday 13th May 

St Helens vs Hull FC (8.00pm – Totally Wicked Stadium)

The Black & Whites kick off Hull&Proud Week with their biggest test of the season so far as they travel to take on reigning Betfred Super League champions St Helens at the Totally Wicked Stadium.

Hull go into the game having won their last three fixtures, and a big following is expected to travel across the Pennines to watch the boys in Round 12 action – tickets are on sale now at hullfcshop.com and in store.

Saturday 14th May

Hull FC Reserves vs Newcastle Thunder Reserves (1.00pm – University of Hull)

Our Reserves side, featuring the likes of Rising Stars Denive Balmforth, Jacob Hookem, Davy Litten and Aidan Burrell, are back in action as they take on Newcastle Thunder Reserves. 

The match, taking place at the University of Hull, gets underway at 1.00pm, with adult members charged at £3, concession members £1, and junior members free of charge.

Wheelchair Challenge Cup Festival (12.00pm – University of Hull)

This year’s Wheelchair Challenge Cup finalists will be discovered when the Wheelchair Challenge Cup Festival comes to Hull University.

The round-robin event will see teams, including our Hull FC Wheelchair side, battle it out across the afternoon with a series of matches to book their spot in the 2022 Wheelchair Challenge Cup Final.

Sunday 15th May

Learning Disability Super League Festival (1.00pm – University of Hull)

The latest LDSL festival is coming to the University of Hull, featuring teams from across the league taking part in the tournament.

Hundreds of players will take part, with supporters invited to come along and watch the action.

Hull KR Women vs Hull FC Women (3.00pm – Sewell Group Craven Park)

The first ever Women’s Hull Derby will take place at Sewell Group Craven Park as the two sides meet in the Women’s League Cup.

Come down and support our Women’s side as they go head to head with the Robins for a place in the semi-finals of the competition.

Monday 16th May 

Hull FC Cooking Challenge (5.30pm – Nandos, Kingswood)

Our fan favourite event is back as members of the first-team squad prepare and serve your evening meal, and this year we’re heading to Nandos Kingswood!

It’ll be Scott Taylor’s team taking on Chris Satae’s team with their own creations: the Tag Burger and the Chicken Satae. Members of the first-team squad will become waiters, hosts and chefs for the the night, cooking and serving a menu created by Scott and Chris!

Please note, in line with Nando’s policy, supporters are not required to book a table for this event and tables will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Tuesday 17th May

Black & White Tuesday

The entire first-team will head out and about across the city to visit our 36 partner schools!

Players will take training sessions and lead Q&A with young fans across the city for an afternoon of Black & White fun they will never forget.

All of our partner schools will compete to sell the most tickets for our ‘BIG Day Out’ clash against Wigan Warriors with a special ticket offer, and whichever school sells the most will receive a money-can’t buy prize!

Hull FC’s Big Fat Quiz of the Year (7.30pm – MKM Stadium)

One of our most popular events of Hull&Proud Week is our annual Quiz Night, which this year will be held at the MKM Stadium in a pub-quiz style, including rounds from some of your favourite game-shows, hosted by BBC Radio Humberside’s Richard Stead. 

Teams of 4 to 12 people can enter for just £10 per person, including a food platter with pizza and wedges for your table at the interval, plus prizes for the winners! The first 15 teams to book their spot will receive a first-team player as part of their team!

Wednesday 18th May

1982 Challenge Cup Final Watchalong – (7.00pm – Tribal Kingswood)

We’ll mark the 40th anniversary of the 1982 Challenge Cup Final Replay success with a watchalong event at Tribal Kingswood.

Supporters will be able to relive the historic clash against Widnes in full, 40 years to the day since the victory, with members of the Black & White squad who played that day in attendance to share their thoughts and memories from the game.

Thursday 19th May

Hull Schools Cup Final (3.00pm – Jacuzzi Elite Performance Centre)

The Year 10 Hull Schools Final will take place at the club’s training ground as the city’s two best sides at that age group compete for the title.

NAC Sports Video Analysis Session (7.00pm – University of Hull)

Supporters will get an exclusive once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience a video review session with Hull FC’s coaches, brought to you in association with NAC Sports.

Head coach Brett Hodgson will lead a video review session at the University of Hull,, and allow fans to experience what the players go through in the build-up to a match, as well as taking your questions on the club’s game preparations.

Friday 20th May

Hull FC Comedy Night (7.00pm – Tribal Humber Street)

A new event for Hull&Proud Week, supporters are invited to attend our club comedy night at Tribal Humber Street!

Hosted by local comedian Steve Rimmer and featuring Steve Gribbin, Lee Peart, and Peter Brush, tickets are priced at £20 per person with booking including a burger and fries.

Places are available exclusively to 2022 members until 12pm on Friday 6th May – places will then go on general sale afterwards.

Hull FC Vice Presidents Race Night (7.00pm – Hullensians RUFC)

Supporters are invited to attend the Hull FC Vice Presidents Association’s Race Night event at Hullensians, raising money for the association. Members of the first-team squad will be in attendance with the virtual races potentially seeing you claim big cash winnings!

Places are priced at £5, featuring a pie and pea supper. 

Saturday 21st May

Hull FC’s ‘BIG Day Out’ vs Wigan Warriors (3.00pm – MKM Stadium)

We’ll bring Hull&Proud Week to a close with our ‘BIG Day Out’ fixture against Wigan Warriors at the MKM Stadium, where our members can make the most of our ‘Friend For A Fiver’ ticket offer and help create an electric atmosphere and a bumper crowd!

Hull go into the game on the back of a five match winning run on home soil, and will be looking to continue that form when the Warriors come to town.

The match day will feature our biggest West Park fan park to date featuring activities, live music and entertainment, and more, while members of the 1982 Challenge Cup Final winning side will deliver the match ball ahead of kick-off to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the success.
