Michael Shenton has named a 21-man squad for tomorrow’s Hull FC Reserves clash with Castleford Tigers Reserves at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle (2.30pm kick-off).
It has been a disruptive start to the 2022 campaign for the Black & Whites Reserves, with games against Hull KR and London falling foul to postponements.
However, Shenton’s side ran out 40-20 winners against a strong Salford outfit in their only competitive match of the season so far last month.
Ben McNamara and Connor Wynne both featured in Hull’s Challenge Cup win over Sheffield Eagles last weekend and they are set to get more minutes under their belt tomorrow afternoon.
Young halfback Jacob Hookem has recovered from a pre-season foot injury and he is set to make his first appearance since making his senior Hull FC debut in the final game of the 2021 Betfred Super League campaign.
Six players are also included in this week’s 21-man squad that helped Hull FC’s Academy onto a 36-14 win over Newcastle Thunder Under 18s at Kingston Park last Friday, including Nick Staveley, scorer of a brace in that match.
Harry Trulson is also included in this week’s squad after he started at loose forward for England Universities Students in a 32-12 win over Great Britain Teachers in the President’s Cup on Wednesday evening.
