Over 100 U14s players from community clubs across the region attended the club’s first Embed The Pathway session of the year on Tuesday evening!

Junior players from West Hull, Skirlaugh Bulls, East Hull, Hull Dockers, Cottingham Tigers, Holderness Vikings, and Hull Wyke all attended the session led by club coaches at the Jacuzzi Elite Performance Centre, as the Black & Whites begin the search for the next generation of Scholarship players to join the club’s Centre of Excellence pathway in the coming seasons.

Players were put through their paces with a number of skill-based drills, with sessions continuing over the coming weeks to allow players to develop and showcase their skills.

Speaking to hullfc.com, Hull FC’s Player Performance Manager, Richard Tate, said: “Our U14s Embed The Pathway programme has been around for a few years now and has been a key part in us helping to improve the quality of junior players, helping to increase inclusivity, making sure more players are getting more opportunities to demonstrate their potential, and helping provide regular player development.

“The programme is fully inclusive and is aimed at all current U14s players, focusing on developing the whole player by the mixing of mental skills, movement skills and coachability aligned to the needs of the game.

“It gives all the players the opportunity to develop their skills and further their Rugby League knowledge, as well as showcase their abilities in a different environment.”
