Voting is now open for the KayGee Engineering Player of the Month and SS Testing Try of the Month awards for February!
Jake Connor, Josh Griffin, Darnell McIntosh, and Joe Lovodua are all nominated for the KayGee Engineering Player of the Month award after helping the Black & Whites to two victories in their opening three games of the season.
While missing the round two clash against St Helens, Jake Connor was pivotal in the Round One and Round Three victories over Wakefield and Salford Respectively, bagging an incredible six assists and a try for himself in the latter game.
Meanwhile, new recruits Darnell McIntosh and Joe Lovodua both impressed in their opening month in Black & White, with the pair scoring on debut against Wakefield, as well as bagging tries against Salford at the weekend too,
After missing the end of the 2021 season with a ruptured Achilles, Josh Griffin kicked off the new season in fine form, and took the captaincy in the absence of Luke Gale for the clash against Salford, while scoring a well-worked try against the Saints.
As well as being nominated for the Player of the Month award, Joe Lovodua is up for the SS Testing Try of the Month award for his spectacular dummy effort against Wakefield. Luke Gale is also nominated for finishing a team try in the same match.
From the Salford victory, Jordan Lane and Cameron Scott, both of whom bagged a brace, pick up a nomination, with Scott for his chip over the top effort, and Lane for his powerful line-break from midway in the opposition half.
