The Hull FC Community Foundation’s ‘Create’ project is aimed at getting people back into employment

Community News

Are you aged 19+, not in education or employment, but looking to progress towards full-time employment? The Hull FC Community Foundation can support you through our ‘Create’ programme.

The ‘Create’ programme is an opportunity to improve your work environment skills, earn qualifications, and take part in real-world work experience to help you progress in your journey to employment.

The 12 week course, with a minimum of three days of sessions per week, sees the Foundation work closely with both club sponsors and qualification providers, including The Learning Curve, who offer an extensive list of fully funded Level 2 qualifications.

The programme is aimed at “upskilling” you to make you stand out from the crowd when it comes to looking for jobs.

We understand that it can be extremely disheartening applying for roles selected by your work coach, with little help, guidance, and sometimes no reply – our ‘Create’ programme avoids these issues, with continuous support from our employment coaches.

You’ll get employment skills training, where your coach will discuss the mindset qualities needed, CV and cover letter training, interview preparations, and presenting skills.

Learners will be able to make the most of work experience opportunities within the club across our various departments, including in our retail and Community Foundation departments.

The programme is aimed for those aged 19+, and you must not be in employment or education.

Sessions will start on July 19th, taking place at the Hull FC Community Hub, located in West Park next to the MKM Stadium.

To express you interest in taking part, please email mark.harling@hullfc.com with you name, date of birth, post code, and national insurance number.
