Jordan Lane has been rewarded for a memorable month in September by picking up the HI Commercial Player of the Month award, and SS Testing Try of the Month award.
The back-rower stated in all five of the Black & Whites’ fixture during September, picking up Jacuzzi Elite Performance Man of the Match awards against Wakefield and Salford.
Lane scored a brace in the Super League victory over Trinity at the Totally Wicked Stadium, while also being the stand-out performer in the defeat to Salford at the Halliwell Jones Stadium – a game in which his spectacular 50 metre try saw him claim the SS Testing Try of the Month award.
The 22-year old made 142 tackles across the five games, as well as 364 metres in total; his two Man of the match performance also included a total of 14 tackle busts.
Lane beat off competition from Brad Fash, Carlos Tuimavave and Joe Cator to win the Player award, while his try came out on top against Albert Kelly’s, Ratu Naulago’s and Tuimavave’s efforts against Castlefrord in the Challenge Cup.
