There is still time to enrol at the Hull FC Centre of Excellence for the 2020/21 academic year, with unconditional clearing now open.

Top of the class on and off the field, the Centre of Excellence has just recorded its best ever student grades, whilst the Development Squad claimed the National Championship.

The Centre of Excellence offers an unrivalled rugby league programme combining coaching, development and education to give young players and students the very best opportunity to progress into professional sport – both in playing and off field roles.

It provides young rugby league players or budding sports professionals a tailor-made route for a career in sport, removing all the traditional limitations of other providers as well as providing first-hand experience in a professional club.

If your results aren’t quite what you expected or you haven’t got into your chosen college or university, you can apply for another course through clearing with the Hull FC Centre of Excellence.

Due to the ongoing uncertainty with the COVID-19 pandemic having affected student’s exam results in 2020, all students will be offered unconditional places as we believe all students applying for further education should be given an equal opportunity.

Hull FC Head of Education, a former Hull FC & England Academy player, Ryan Langton, said: “We believe in providing an opportunity for all students and using the power of sport and the opportunities available at Hull FC to help them realise their potential.

“Whether that is on our elite rugby pathway or whether it is an education route towards higher education or a career in sports performance or administration, we believe we can offer a great opportunity for students, which is tailored to all levels of sports ability or academic attainment.

“We have seen a significant rise in the number of students enrolling allowing us to deliver a high-quality education programme and a successful rugby league development team.

He added, “Following Covid-19, we know there is some uncertainty and anxiety around exam results and grade, so we are committed to providing unconditional offers for the new academy year to ensure everyone has a choice.

“Regardless of what course they choose, our focus remains on helping students learn, develop, aspire and succeed in achieving their sporting or career goals – that is our underlying motive and belief that drives our staff from our own experiences.”
