Roman Dawson was awarded an Academy contract with Hull FC ahead of the 2023 season after graduating from the club’s Scholarship programme.

Throughout his tenure with the Scholarship, Dawson played predominantly as a second-rower. But since joining the Academy, the former Skirlaugh Bulls junior has transitioned to play at centre, with the ability to still deputise in the back-row when required.

With plenty of pace and evasion in his locker, Dawson certainly has the necessary skills to feature in the back-line.

He scored a brace of tries on his Hull FC Academy debut in a 36-10 victory over Bradford Bulls Under 18s in March 2023.
