Herman Ese’ese joined Hull FC from NRL club, The Dolphins, ahead of the 2024 Betfred Super League season, signing a three-year deal.

He is the nephew of Super League icon Ali Lauiti’iti, and Ese’ese is known for his powerful running style, often bumping off defenders who stand in his way.

The forward has represented both New Zealand and Samoa on the international stage.

He brings a wealth of experience to East Yorkshire, with over 125 career appearances under his belt in the NRL, previously featuring for Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, Brisbane Broncos, Newcastle Knights, and Gold Coast Titans.

Ese’ese made his Betfred Super League debut for the Black & Whites against Hull KR at the MKM Stadium in February 2024, and went on to be named both the club’s Players’ Player of the Year, and Supporters’ Player of the Year in his maiden season at FC.
