Formerly an East Hull junior, Lennon Bursell is a strong individual with an equally hardened passion to succeed.

As a true competitor, Bursell scored a try within five minutes of making his Hull FC Academy debut, helping them onto a 60-12 victory over London Broncos Under 18s in March 2022.

It was actually Hull FC legend Lee Crooks who spotted Bursell whilst playing rugby at St Mary’s school. From there, he was offered a scholarship contract and ever since he has blossomed into a fine individual player.

A previous captain of the Academy side, the back-rower is a leader of men. Such traits helped earn him a place in the first-team squad ahead of the 2024 Super League season.
