Roman Dawson’s ascension to the Hull FC first-team was complete in 2024, rising through the Scholarship and Academy programmes with flying colours.

Throughout his tenure with the Scholarship, Dawson played predominantly as a second-rower. But once he joined the Academy, the former Skirlaugh Bulls junior transitioned to play at centre, with the ability to still deputise in the back-row when required.

With plenty of pace and evasion in his locker, Dawson certainly has the necessary skills to feature in the back-line.

He scored a brace of tries on his Hull FC Academy debut in a 36-10 victory over Bradford Bulls Under 18s in March 2023.
