Hull FC are pleased to announce Atropa Pharmacy as their new main club sponsors for the 2020 Betfred Super League campaign, ahead of tonight’s 2020 principal jersey launch.
The fast growing pharmaceuticals company, based in East Yorkshire, have agreed a significant commercial partnership with the Black and Whites, which will include their company name and logo appearing on the club’s official principal and alternate jerseys in 2020.
Atropa Pharmacy is a forward thinking online pharmacy that provides prescription delivery services to patients all across the UK from their base in Hull, as well also offering a range of personal clinical services such as travel vaccinations and private blood tests.
Established in 2013, Atropa Pharmacy have quickly grown from a local pharmacy to a national provider and are one of the fastest growing businesses in a region that already boasts strong a medical and pharmaceutical sector.
In 2018, they relocated to new purpose built premises in Hull whilst establishing an online presence on a national scale.
Bryn Smales, Company Director at Atropa Pharmacy commented: “Getting involved with the club was quite a serendipitous moment really.
“When the opportunity arose to get involved with the club we jumped at the chance and it has really rejuvenated my enjoyment of the sport and the club, who I have supported as a youngster.
“The success of the business over recent years has provided us with the opportunity to get involved with the club, which is a win-win situation for both organisations.
“Our aim is to encourage more people to be proactive rather than reactive when it comes to health and we hope this partnership with a big club like Hull FC will allow us to promote that message in the wider community.”
A key part of the partnership will be working with the club to push health awareness to Black & Whites supporters, as well as working in the local community with the Hull FC Foundation.
Mr Smales commented: “We want people to be thinking about health before problems arise. Hopefully with our name associated with Hull FC allows us to push this message about both physical and mental health.
“Hull FC are huge on community, and you need your community to be healthy. Men are especially bad when it comes to health - most would wait for an arm to drop off before going to their GP, so hopefully we can get our message out there now with this partnership.”
Hull FC continue to revamp their commercial operations, which recently included a restructure of their commercial department and a number of new initiatives for partners and corporate guests, on the back of a record breaking year in 2019.
Hull FC Chief Executive James Clark is pleased with the progress being made and believes the new partnership with Atropa compliments the work the club are doing.
“We are really excited about the potential of the partnership with Bryn and the team at Atropa and we are looking forward to working more closely with them over the coming year.
“Bryn has a clear passion for the business and its values, which we believe are fundamentally aligned to the fantastic work our club does in the local community and the principles we stand for.
“Commercially, it is a deal of significant value that will contribute to our growing portfolio as we look to build on a record breaking year for the club.
“We are excited about the future and working with people like Bryn as we look to continue to grow the club, which enables us to invest in our playing squad, infrastructure and facilities.”
He continued, “I’d like to thank all of our main kit partners who have backed us for the 2020 season, both old and new. Their support is invaluable in helping us take the club forward and they deserve recognition for the part they play in that.”
Long standing partners continue their affiliation with the club, with Minstergate Hyundai, Nationwide Concrete Flooring, J O’Neil & Co Ltd, Vista Frames and Sports Events Services appearing on the official kits once again.
They are joined by new shirt partners SS Testing, CRK Engineering, Andrew Earles Holidays and JLP Scaffolding who appear for the first time, whilst Jacuzzi and Outdoor Living will once again sponsor the club’s official warm-up tops.
The club’s official retail supplier for the 2020 Season is ISC once again.
The brand-new 2020 Princpal jersey will be revealed later this evening with a launch event at Princes Quay Shopping Centre at 6.30pm, with supporters invited to come down and be the first to see the new jersey.
The jersey will go on sale immediately after the event from our pop-up store in Princes Quay, as well as online at hullfcshop.com. For full details - click here
