The team news is in ahead of this evening’s Betfred Super League Round 3 clash against York Knights, in association with Steve Hodgins Plumbing, Heating & Electrical.

The Black & Whites face the newly promoted side from North Yorkshire at the MKM Stadium for the first time in Super League, with FC aiming to make it back-to-back home wins at the start of the campaign.

John Cartwright has made three changes to the side that was named against Wigan last week; Will Pryce (ACL) and Joe Batchelor (calf) drop out through injury, and are replaced by John Asiata, who makes his long-awaited return from injury from the bench, and Jake Arthur who makes his league debut starting in the halves.

Zak Hardaker also returns after recovering from a dead leg, replacing Callum Kemp.

Herman Ese’ese (Achilles) and James Bell (knee) continue their respective recoveries from injury, while young squad members Ryan Westerman (foot) and Roman Dawson (knee) are also unavailable.
