Hull FC Academy players Lloyd Kemp, Callum Kemp and Rio Kassim have been selected in the Yorkshire Academy Origin squad for their upcoming fixture against Lancashire.
It will be the first representative action for the young trio – all of whom have been stand-out players for the Black & Whites’ Academy and Reserves sides this season.
Both of the Kemp twins have made their senior debuts for the Airlie Birds; half-back Callum ran out in the final game of the 2024 season, while Lloyd took to the field in Hull’s first competitive game of 2025 against York Acorn in the Betfred Challenge Cup.
Former Skirlaugh youngster Kassim rounds up the trio, with the towering back-rower adding some size to the Yorkshire pack.
Yorkshire take on Lancashire in the first of a two-match test series at The Jungle in Castleford on Saturday 10th May, with the second fixture taking part at Sewell Group Craven Park on Saturday 2nd August.
The Yorkshire squad is led by Castleford’s Rob Nickolay, with Huddersfield stalwart Leroy Cudjoe again assisting alongside Matt Nicholson of Wakefield, while Luke Gale will act as a mentor for the side.
There will be live coverage of the first Academy Origin fixture on the RFL’s YouTube channel.
