Hull FC are pleased to confirm that Lewis Martin has signed a three-year contract extension.

The deal will see the young winger remain at the MKM Stadium until the end of the 2028 season.

Martin has burst onto the scene as a first-team player with the Black & Whites since his debut in September 2023, scoring 16 tries in 31 appearances.

His debut itself was a standout performance from the outside back, racing in from distance to score in impressive fashion against St Helens.

He finished the 2024 campaign as the club’s top try-scorer, and he has carried that form into 2025, beginning the year with a hat-trick in the Third Round of the Challenge Cup against York Acorn.

Martin has scored in each of his last three appearances for the Black & Whites, crossing for tries against Wigan Warriors, Huddersfield Giants, and a late equaliser against Leigh Leopards in a dramatic tie on Thursday night.

Not only is his try-scoring record catching the eye, but his work rate is a key asset for the Airlie Birds. As one of the top carriers, with 82, in Super League so far this season, Martin’s fast carries and quick play-the-balls are key for breaking down pressure that comes Hull’s way.

“I’m absolutely buzzing to stay at this great club for another three years,” Martin said.

“I’ve learned so much over the last 18 months and that is down to how the club has nurtured me and helped me grow as a player.

“There’s something special going on at the club at the moment. It won’t turn around for us overnight, but within the next three years, there’s a real belief that we can take a big step forward and that’s something I’m really looking forward to being a part of.”

Recently, fellow young talents Harvey Barron, Denive Balmforth and Will Hutchinson have all extended their time with the Black & Whites.

Hull FC Chief Executive, Richie Myler, said: “We’re really proud to have a player like Lewis Martin in our arsenal. He’s a real weapon of a player and it’s fantastic that he’s decided to stay another three years with us.

“When I first arrived at the club, you could see he was still a bit raw. But compare that to now and he’s streets ahead of where he was.

“If he can continue to progress, there’s no real limit to how far Lewis can go in the game. We’re just very happy that he’ll remain a Hull FC player for another three years, and like with the rest of our youngsters, I can’t wait to see how he continues to develop.”
