Hull FC are delighted to release a brand new recording of the club’s traditional anthem ‘Old Faithful’ in collaboration with local artist Pablo Carrizo!
Pablo, a lifelong Black & White, is one of the city’s brightest up and coming music talents, and has released a brand new edition of the song ahead of the start of the 2025 Betfred Super League season this weekend.
The club can also confirm that Pablo will play live on the pitch ahead of kick-off at the MKM Stadium next Friday before our unmissable home opener against quadruple winners and reigning world champions Wigan Warriors. Tickets remain available in store and online – click here to get yours.
Having amassed a growing following, he has performed at festivals including The Knows Festival and Humber Street Sesh, as well as on match days at the MKM Stadium in our West Park Fan Zone over recent years and supporting national artists at Bridlington Spa and Scunthorpe Baths Hall.
He also recently headlined a sold-out show at the city’s Adelphi Club over the festive period, and will perform another headline slot at Social, Humber Street, in September, with tickets on sale now – get yours by clicking here

The club’s anthem, one of the most famous in the sport, is over 90 years old, with roots dating back to 1933; during the early 1930s American country and western singer Gene Autry released the single ‘Old Faithful’ – a song for one of Autry’s horses that stood by him for many years.
The song was adopted by the Faithful on the terraces of the Boulevard, initially sung for the club’s all-time record points scorer Joe Oliver – such was his dependability with the boot, he earned the nickname ‘The Points Machine’. During one game in 1933, fans spontaneously began to sing out ‘Old Faithful’ from the Threepenny Stand referring to his remarkably accurate boot. The song was a hit amongst supporters and stuck ever since.
While the words of the club anthem have changed slightly over the years, years later it is still sung loudly from the stands by the Faithful, with Pablo’s version set to feature on match days at the MKM Stadium in 2025 ahead of kick-off.
Speaking on the announcement, Pablo said: “It’s an incredibly special moment for me to collaborate with my boyhood club and record a brand new version of Old Faithful.
“Having been a fan all my life, this song means an awful lot to me and my family having stood in the stands and sung it thousands of times over the years – getting us through those high and low moments that come with being a Rugby League fan!
“It’s been a really special few months for me, having played my first sold-out headline show at the Adelphi in December, and now releasing the song and playing on the MKM Stadium pitch next week.
“Next Friday night can’t come around quick enough; playing on the pitch for the fans will be a crazy moment for me, and hearing Old Faithful play ahead of kick-off will be a bit of a pinch me moment!”
