The Black & Whites and the Hull FC Community Foundation hosted their first ever combined awards night on Saturday for their Women & Girls and inclusion pathways, celebrating a year of success and development on and off the playing field.

Over 250 participants and family members attended the awards at the MKM Stadium after another sensational year for the club’s community teams.

Awards were handed out across our Womens, U16s Girls, U14s Girls, Wheelchair, Physical Disability and Learning Disability teams.

There was recognition for the players across the side who have achieved international recognition in 2024;

  • Joshua Mackenzie, Anna Mackenzie and Belle Blakestone were all selected for the England Wheelchair Rugby League Futures programme.
  • Tristan Norfolk has been included in England squads throughout the year, including making his international debut against Spain earlier this week in Nantes.
  • Corey Davies and Eric Horridge have both become England PDRL Youth Ambassadors.
  • Olivia Turner, Rachel Atkinson, Hannah Black, Evie Sexton and Ruby Ellis all took part in the England Girls DiSE programme.

Tributes were also paid to retiring Hull FC Wheelchair players Martin Norris and Steve Sampher – both of whom brought their playing days to a close at the end of the 2024 Betfred Wheelchair Super League season.
