Three Hull FC Girls players have been selected for this year’s England Rugby League Diploma in Sporting Excellence (DiSE) for 2024-2026.
DiSE, which is the first step onto the England Performance Pathway, is a national programme for Year 12 and 13 girls who have the potential to play at the highest level of the game – representing England Rugby League with the Knights or the Women’s senior team.
Olivia Turner, who was selected for the Central Yorkshire U15s Talent Hub last year will now head to take part in her first DiSE programme. Joining her are Rachel Atkinson and Hannah Black.
The trio represent Hull FC Girls Under 16s, who enjoyed a strong campaign in the Yorkshire Premier Division this year, as they finished a commendable third in the league table.
The Hull FC trio will harbour hopes of following in the footsteps of the five DiSE graduates to go on to represent the England Women’s Senior team; Keara Bennett (Leeds Rhinos), Eboni Partington (York Valkyrie), Katie Mottershead (St Helens) Bella Sykes (Leeds Rhinos) and Isabel Rowe (Wigan Warriors).
