Hull FC are delighted to unveil our new intake of Under 15 Scholarship players for the 2025 season.
After a rigorous scouting process across the junior game, Hull FC have selected seventeen of the region’s brightest talents to join the club’s fruitful Centre of Excellence this autumn.
The Centre of Excellence, the overarching pathway for the club’s development programmes, was introduced ahead of the 2021 season, combining top-class coaching and facilities with tailored education and mentorship, strengthening the route from grassroots rugby to first-team.
The likes of Logan Moy, Jack Charles and Will Kirby, all of whom have played in Super League this season, are recent products of Hull FC’s Scholarship programme, which continues to support youngsters on their journeys to becoming professional Rugby League athletes.
Alongside our Scholarship sides (U15 & U16), the Centre of Excellence programme also features our Academy (U17 & U18), Reserves (U21), Hull FC Sports College (Elite & Development), Girls (U14 & U16), Women, and Disability sides (LDRL, PDRL, Wheelchair) – the entire Category 1 ‘Outstanding’ rated Centre of Excellence programme is based alongside the first-team at the University of Hull.
The seventeen new recruits signed their registration papers and were presented to the crowd at half-time of Hull FC’s clash with St Helens at the MKM Stadium on Saturday.
They will join up with this season’s first-year players, who will move into their second-year to create a 36-player Scholarship squad for the 2025 campaign.
Hull FC Head of Youth, Richard Tate, said: “We’re very pleased to welcome such a talented group of young people to the Hull FC family for next season.
“Through the guidance and fantastic work of their amateur clubs and school environments, and the continued support of their families, these young players have already shown a great work ethic and attitude to become the best that they can be.
“Myself and all our youth development staff are looking forward to working with the group, who will join our progressing first-year scholars as part of our summer sessions.
“Our aim is to help these young individuals develop their talent to become better Rugby League players. Alongside their Rugby League programme, we also encourage and promote their life skills to ensure they are developing away from the field, as well as on it.
“I would also like to thank all of our Talent ID staff for their continued hard work in helping to identify, support and recruit the best junior players from Hull, the East Riding of Yorkshire and further afield.”
