Last time out:
The two sides last met in June at the University of Hull as Salford claimed a 6-36 victory in their race to claim top spot in the Women’s Championship.
Salford scored eight tries as they showed strength in both attack and defence limiting the home side to just one score, scored by Kayleigh Waller in the closing stages of the second half.
The Championship season so far:
Hull FC Women have shown new-found form to claim convincing wins in their last two matches against Dewsbury Moor Ladies and Widnes Vikings Women.
On their victories, Jack Coates Hull FC’s female Pathways Manager said: “We’ve had a good few wins in the last couple of weeks and it’s really given the group a lift and changed the complexion of our season.”
However, their League Cup winning opponents are looking strong at the top of the table after only losing one match in the 2022 season.
This week’s match:
Both sides will be looking to continue their winning run as they are approaching the end of the Championship season.
For Thursday’s match, Hull FC have added to the experience of the side, with Coates saying: “We have been able to bring in two French International players on loan – bringing this experience into the group is fantastic .”
With just three games remaining for both teams after Thursday’s fixture the pressure is on for both of them to finish the 2022 season on a high.
On the match, Coates added: “Salford are top of the league and in very good form, but we are really excited for the challenge and it will be another fantastic experience for our young and developing group.”
A victory for the Hull FC Women’s side would be a monumental task but they are more than prepared to fight Salford for it.
