Nominees are in for the Getextra Player of the Month and SS Testing Try of the Month awards for July.
Luke Gale, Kane Evans, Brad Fash, and Ellis Longstaff are all nominated for the Getextra Player of the Month award.
Evans and Fash have both impressed in the Black & White pack throughout the month, including in Friday’s victory on the road against Toulouse.
Meanwhile, Luke Gale put in arguably his best performance to date for the Black & Whites in the Magic Weekend Hull Derby clash against the Robins, while it was also an afternoon to remember for loanee Ellis Longstaff, scoring a brace on debut before adding a third try to his monthly tally against the French side on Friday.
Fellow loanee Josh Simm is nominated for the SS Testing Try of the Month award for his debut try, similarly against Hull KR at St James’ Park., as he finished off a superb team try.
While the Airlie Birds tasted defeat on home turf against Leeds and Castleford, tries from Darnell McIntosh (vs Leeds) as he went the length of the field, and Danny Houghton (vs Castleford) who broke from his own half off a tap restart catching the Tigers defence napping, are both also nominated.
Will Smith’s debut try against Toulouse, superbly created by Jack Walker who broke from within the FC half, is also up for the award, which saw the new utility man show off some great support play at pace.
