Cheerleading Open Night Next Wednesday

Our cheerleading team will host an open evening

Community News

The Hull FC Community Foundation’s cheerleading team will be hosting an open night on Wednesday 27th October as they look to welcome new performers!

Taking place at the Bonus Youth Performance Centre next Wednesday (5.30-7pm), children aged 7+ will have the chance to get a glimpse of what the cheerleading sessions look like.

The sessions are delivered by experienced staff with a wealth of experience delivering dance and cheerleading sessions, helping to develop flexibility, balance, strength, technique and control, allowing children to explore and perform dance using a range of movement patterns.

Participants will also have the opportunity to perform at Hull FC home games at the MKM Stadium, on top of competing in cheerleading/dance competitions to feature in dance shows. Plus, there are many more exciting opportunities.

Cheerleading sessions will be fun-filled, and packed with all the different elements involved within the sport. These classes will involve tumbling, jumping, stunting and dance, while working on skills to put routines together to use on game days and eventually at competitions across the country.

Alternatively, dance sessions will be working towards developing skills within pom dance, street dance and contemporary dance. All the routines will be put in an end of the year show for family and friends to attend to watch and some dances may be used at the Hull FC Home Games.

There will also be additional sessions specifically aimed at pre-match and half-time performance at Hull FC fixtures, with pre-match focusing on dance, and half-time focused on cheerleading. These sessions are designed for all ages to take part.

The open evening will be free to attend. For more information, please email hannah.mowforth@hullfc.com.
