It’s Members Monday, and it’s time to shine the light on this week’s Member of the Week!

This week’s Member of the Week is Aaron Fairhead, a member of the Hull FC LDRL team, and nominated by his coaches.

Aaron has been part of our Hull FC Learning Disability Rugby League (LDRL) team since the very first training session. He is a huge Hull FC supporter and attends every game with his family.

Aaron is one of the team’s hardest working players and developed both his rugby skills as well as becoming more confident and a crucial part of the team.

In 2020, Aaron was voted as LDRL trainer of the year for his dedication, progression and hardwork.

“I love being part of Hull FC because it helps me stay fit and healthy as well as making lots of new friends. It makes me and my family proud to play for my home town club which I’ve supported all of my life.

“The switch to online sessions, at first, was a struggle but over time my confidence has grown. I enjoy the fitness sessions and have been doing my own exercises to stay healthy.

“I’ve also learnt a lot from the discussion sessions, for example the importance of a healthy lifestyle.

“I can’t wait to get back to normality and get back training with my team, to see my friends in person again. In 2021 I am looking forward to finally playing some games against the other teams. It’s exciting to think about wearing the famous black and white shirt with my teammates.”
