Hull FC are delighted to announce that G&J Staffing will continue their sponsorship of the Hull FC Academy side throughout the 2021 and 2022 campaigns.

The local recruitment agency teamed up with the Black & Whites U18s side in 2020, and will continue their support of some of the club’s brightest young talent over the course of the next two years.

The Academy side, part of the club’s new Centre of Excellence programme, are expected to return to training next month with competitive fixtures set to resume later in the year in line with the government guidelines on grassroots sports.

Specialising in recruitment in the transport sector, Hull-based firm G&J Staffing was founded in 2018, and since its foundation less than three years ago, the business has gone from strength to strength, working with a range of successful businesses throughout the region.

Their success has recently seen them open new offices in Essex as well as their main base in the city of Hull.

The company’s logo will proudly feature on the front of the Academy jersey, while also continuing their sponsorship of young centre Jude Ferreira having earned his first professional contract for the 2021 season.

Ferreira will wear the number 26 this season and becomes the latest Hull FC Academy star to progress onto the first-team squad, alongside the likes of Ben McNamara, Jack Brown, Cameron Scott and Connor Wynne.

Speaking to hullfc.com, G&J Staffing director James Anderson said: “It brings us great pleasure to be involved with the Academy team again for 2021. We simply couldn’t turn down the offer to once again sponsor the club.

“We initially got involved with the club wanting to sponsor an individual player, but when we were passed on the opportunity to sponsor the whole academy team, we simply could not turn it down.

“Grassroots rugby is where the journey for all stars of the future begins, and there has been some formidable talent that has risen from the Academy and into the first team in recent years – we had our eyes on Jude Ferreira last season, we knew he was looking at becoming something special.

“He is a prime example of how important the Academy team and grass roots is in general. This year we have decide to sponsor Jude along with the Academy team to further show our support.”

Hull FC’s Sales Manager Nick Derbyshire added: “The club are delighted to have the continuing support of G&J Staffing for the 2021 and 2022 seasons.

“The Academy will continue to be an integral part of the club in the coming seasons as we hope to see more stars of the future progressing through the ranks. It has, and I’m sure will continue, to provide a platform for our young performers.

“We look forward to many more successful seasons working alongside the G&J Staffing team as a valued partner and supporter of the club.”
