PBS Construction Continue Club Association In 2021

PBS Construction will be the club’s interchange sponsor in 2021.

PBS Construction Ltd have confirmed they will continue their association with the Black & Whites into 2021 by becoming the club’s interchange sponsor for the new campaign.

The agreement will see their name read our across the PA system during Hull FC’s home games at the KCOM Stadium next season when an interchange is made for either the home or away side, as well as featuring on our interchange cards.

The family-owned business, who have been club partners since 2016, will also continue their sponsorship of young full-back Connor Wynne during the new campaign.

The local civil engineering firm have over 30 years experience in the construction sector, and are behind some of East Yorkshire’s biggest construction projects in recent years including flood defence systems, public realm, drainage and working on bridges.

The company has a key focus on helping and supporting the local community, including their association with the Black & Whites.

PBS Construction also financially support the ‘Run With It’ youth education programme in the city, as well as sponsoring fellow local sports teams including East Hull Rugby League Under 6s, Beverley Rugby League and the Lads FC football team.

PBS’s previous commercial involvement with the club saw them feature on the club’s principal and alternate jerseys for four seasons between 2016 and 2019, including during our two historical Challenge Cup Final victories at Wembley Stadium.

The company also work closely with the Hull FC Academy offering work placements to the club’s young players, while Managing Director and Community Manager Glenn & Brendon Smurthwaite are both members of the Hull FC Vice Presidents Association.

Speaking to hullfc.com, PBS Construction’s Managing Director Glenn Smurthwaite said: “We’re delighted to be backing Hull FC again in 2021 as it maintains our longstanding association with the club.

“Having been one of the shirt partners in recent years, this will also be our third year of sponsoring Connor Wynne. We are a local family business so it’s nice to be able to support a local talent and hopefully it’s beneficial for both Connor and the club.

“Becoming the interchange partner for the 2021 season is a new venture for us but one that we’re very much looking forward to.

“All clubs will be relying more than ever on their commercial partners and we’re happy to be backing the club in these challenging times. As a family we are all Hull FC supporters and if we can play a small part in helping the club to be successful then we’ll be more than happy.”
