Hull FC are pleased to announce a club-record technical & merchandise partnership with global sportswear brand hummel®
The iconic sportswear company will become the club’s new technical and retail supplier of all elite and replica playing and training wear, as well as bespoke match day and fashion ranges.
The initial three-year agreement will see hummel® manufacture and supply Hull FC with various ranges from the 2021 season, with new collections set to be launched later this week.
As the club’s official technical partner, hummel® will kit out the club’s full network of representative teams, including men, women, academy and Centre of Excellence, as well as coaching staff, administration staff and community development teams.
Founded in 1923, Danish sportswear brand hummel® are one of the oldest team sport brands in the world with an incredible sporting heritage, providing apparel to some of the biggest teams in world football, rugby, handball, basketball, futsal and volleyball.
Proud of their Danish routes, they continue to produce kits for the Denmark national football team, in a sport where they have held some globally recognisable partnerships with the likes of Real Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Benfica, whilst they were recently unveiled as official partners of Everton.
In rugby league, they have previously partnered with North Queensland Cowboys, whilst they are the current suppliers to Wigan Warriors, Wakefield Trinity and England Rugby League, as well as the RFL match official’s department.
The latest partnership with Hull FC will be one of the largest and most high profile in their portfolio, boasting the biggest merchandise agreement in the Black & Whites history.
Hull FC Chief Executive, James Clark, said: “This is one of the most lucrative commercial partnerships in the club’s history, which comes at a critical time for the club as we continue to address the challenge we face with Covid-19.
“Hull FC supporters are extremely proud of representing their club in the official colours with record shirt sales in Super League and this partnership will help us continue to service that demand with new products and creative ranges, whilst providing high-quality performance products for our players.
“One of the key reasons for choosing hummel® over a number of high-profile brands was our common values around heritage, originality, performance and fan engagement and we look forward to building a successful partnership.”
Mark Underwood, Managing Director at the Elite Group, who exclusively manage the brand on behalf of hummel® in the UK and Ireland, also commented:
“We are delighted and incredibly proud to be partnering with Hull FC, a real powerhouse in Super League. I am sure we are going to have some fun with this partnership in the coming years and ultimately share our successes on and off the pitch.”
The first products of a number of exciting new ranges will be unveiled from this weekend, which will be available to order via hullfcshop.com.
In the near future, the club also hope to re-open their retail outlets, including re-opening a unit at the popular St Stephen’s Shopping Centre.
