Our 2020 Vision

Our 2020 Vision

Hear from head coach Lee Radford, club captain Danny Houghton, and new signing Mahe Fonua on our vision for the 2020 campaign.

Lee Radford - Head Coach

“I’d like to personally thank every member for their support in 2019, and we hope to see them again for what looks like an exciting year ahead. We were in contention for a play-off place throughout the season and made the Challenge Cup semi-finals, but we know the areas we need to improve and the changes we need to make to go a step further next time around.

“We have added some genuine quality to the squad with a number of key signings to address some areas we felt needed improvements, which alongside the players we already have here, it looks mouthwatering.

“We hope we can kick on again next year and give back to our members who have stood by us.”

Danny Houghton - Club Captain

“On behalf of all the players, I’d like to thank all of our members for their ongoing support. Our fans give us a huge lift, we know what it means t them and at times this year we simply haven’t matched that with our performances.

“I remember what it was like to have a season ticket and I would have been really excited heading into next season with the signings we have made. The squad looks very strong and the club do some fantastic work now in providing plenty of benefits and rewards, it’s a lot better than it was in my day!

“Our members have become a big part of the club and hopefully together we will have plenty to celebrate next season.”

Mahe Fonua - 2020 Recruit

“I can’t wait to get back to a club that has a special history for me and my family. It was a very easy decision, there isn’t another club I would rather sign for.

“The fans and members played a big part in that. I want to pick up where I left and looking at the players the club have signed, we have a great chance to do that.”
