Jeylan Hodgson signed a contract with the Black & Whites’ Academy in February 2023, ahead of the start of the Academy Championship campaign.

The hooker is well connected to some big names in Rugby League, as he is the nephew of NRL star Josh Hodgson, and the brother of Bailey Hodgson.

Although he was born in Hull, Hodgson moved to Australia with his family and played his junior rugby league for Newcastle South’s Merewether Lions whilst his brother came through the system at Newcastle Knights.

Hodgson made his Hull FC Academy debut in a 36-10 victory over Bradford Bulls Under 18s in March 2023.
