Hull FC brought Leon Ruan to the MKM Stadium on loan in August 2024, agreeing a deal with fellow Super League side, Leeds Rhinos.

The young prop forward, who can also operate in the second-row, made his debut for the Black & Whites against St Helens in August 2024, just two days after his loan move to East Yorkshire was confirmed.

He made his senior Rugby League debut for Doncaster, under the tutelage of former Hull FC halfback Richard Horne. His Super League debut came for Leeds in June 2023.
