With over 500 career matches under his belt, Tony Smith is one of Super League’s most experienced head coaches.
The former Huddersfield, Leeds, Warrington, and Hull KR head coach joined the Black & Whites in September 2022.
Smith played the game between the years of 1987 and 1996, finishing his playing career at Workington Town.
Less than half a decade later, Smith took charge of his first match as a head coach in the hot seat at Huddersfield in 2001.
Towards the end of 2003, Smith moved to Leeds and guided the Rhinos to Grand Final glory in his first season at the helm.
It was to be the start of a triumphant run of trophies claimed, including further Grand Final titles, Challenge Cups and World Club Challenges.
He took charge of his first competitive Hull FC fixture in February 2023, as the Black & Whites defeated Castleford Tigers 32-30 in a thriller at the MKM Stadium in front of over 15,000 fans.
