Bureta Faraimo has heaped praise on Hull FC’s middles for their effort in the Black & Whites’ 31-18 victory over Castleford last night.
The winger played his part in one of the Airlie Bird’s most impressive away performances of the season so far at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle, and Faraimo was complementary of his teammates after a strong effort.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Faraimo said: “It’s a really important two points for us. We’ve moved up into third place and that’s a really strong place to be at this stage of the season.
“The middles were outstanding for us tonight and that really helped us on the edges too.
“They set the platform for us and allowed us to build on that.”
Faraimo admitted that while his side were lacklustre in the first-half, the turnaround after the break came after being challenged by head coach Lee Radford.
“The first-half didn’t go as planned, we didn’t come out the blocks as fast as we’d have liked to, but Radders really challenged us to push on at half-time.
“We started our sets so strongly managing to poke our noses through after the break, and that got us on the front foot so many times.”
On his fellow winger Ratu Naulago, he added: “Ratu is a special player and somebody you really want to have in the team, rather than playing against him. He is so quick.”
