The Hull FC Community Foundation team are now accepting donations for their gruelling 406 mile bicycle ride to Wembley Stadium ahead of the 2019 Coral Challenge Cup Final.
Beginning in Hull at the KCOM Stadium on Monday 19th August, ten members of the Foundation team will touch base at the home ground of every English-based Super League club whilst making their way to Wembley, where they plan to arrive on the afternoon of Friday 23rd August, a day before the cup final.
Money raised for the charity bike ride to the nation’s capital will be split - 50% will be given to the Soldiers League Charity, 25% will be donated to the family of Jansin Turgut to assist his recovery following his accident in Ibiza, while the remaining 25% will be go towards the Hull FC Foundation to help the continuation successful projects in the community, such as wheelchair rugby, ‘Old Faithful’ and the Future Players Programme.
The Hull FC Foundation are aiming to raise £5,000 to help these two beneficiaries.
The Black & Whites are still in contention to make it to Wembley having secured their place in the Coral Challenge Cup semi-finals against Warrington Wolves at the University of Bolton Stadium next month.
The charity bicycle ride will get underway in East Yorkshire, before the Foundation team make their way over to West Yorkshire, over the Pennines towards Lancashire and then south for London.
