Derby Week begins tomorrow, and there are plenty of opportunities for supporters to get in on the action as the build-up to the big Good Friday clash event between the Black & Whites and the Red & Whites!
Preparations for the match begin in earnest tomorrow, with the Derby Week launch event taking place at one of Hull’s unique locations - Scale Lane Bridge. Hull’s impressive state of the art swinging footbridge links the West and East of the city over the River Hull, the great dividing line for the Airlie Birds and the Robins.
Members of the press will be in attendance to catch up with squad members from both sides ahead of the big game, while a rather special photoshoot will also take place. Supporters are welcome to come down to meet members of the squad too!
Meanwhile, Jake Connor will represent the Black & Whites at a Super League joint-Easter press conference at Emerald Headingley.
Tuesday will see Masi Matongo and Jez Litten go head-to-head with two Robins rivals in a rock climbing challenge at St Stephen’s rock climbing centre ‘Rock Up’! The charity event will see the winning team donate their prize to a charity, again with supporters invited to come down and meet the players!
Lee Radford will take to the airwaves on Tuesday evening as a guest on BBC Radio Humberside’s Sportstalk show, before supporters can once again catch up with members of the first-team squad on Wednesday and Thursday with our two signing sessions at the KCOM Stadium retail store.
Sponsors and club partners will then be offered exclusive access to Thursday’s captain’s run at the Elite Performance Centre the day before the game at our Sponsor Day.
And then it’s the big one - Derby Day, as the Black & Whites take on the Robins on Good Friday for the first time since 2013.
The lower bowl of the stadium has already effectively sold out, and with huge demand for remaining tickets, supporters are advised to claim theirs as quickly as possible to avoid disappointment as the KCOM Stadium heads for a bumper crowd.
